Specialised cargo terminals
The Port of Barcelona has more than 30 diversified terminals that allow it to handle all types of cargo and respond to all operational and logistical needs.
Cars, bulk liquid, solid bulk... and containers. The Port offers, in this sense, the services of two modern international terminals specialised in container traffic and handling APM Terminals Barcelona and Hutchison Port BEST (Barcelona Europe South Terminal).
In addition, it connects with more than 250 ports, through more than 100 regular lines operated by 54 shipowners
Passenger terminals
The 7 international terminals of the Port of Barcelona are designed to offer cruise ships the necessary services and with maximum security, which are serviced by various companies specialised in the sector.
The Port also It has the infrastructure and a wide range of regular freight and passenger services to Italy or North Africa, through SSS (short sea shipping) and feeders, which make it the main connectivity hub between Europe and the Mediterranean.
Inland terminals
The Port of Barcelona is also the network of inland terminals and the intermodal services that connect them. The Barcelona Port Authority participates in the management of 8 intermodal terminals: tmZ, PSA Azuqueca, PSM Coslada, Perpignan, Vilamalla, TIM and agroTIM in Monzón and literaTIM in Tamarite.
This commitment to intermodality, through short-distance rail and maritime services, it also contributes to creating more efficient, competitive and sustainable logistics chains.
