Many of the spaces in the Port of Barcelona have restricted access. The access doors are controlled by the Port Police and have different hours and characteristics. The Civil Guard performs the fiscal and security control at the exit.
Gates 29, 30, 31 and 33: how to get there
If you are coming from the Ronda Litoral towards Besòs, take exit 18B Zona Franca / carrer 3 Port Cargo sud.
If you are coming from the Ronda Litoral towards Llobregat, take exit 18 Zona Franca (Pl. Cerdà , Zona Franca, Mercabarna, puerto).
Which access according to destination
- Gate 29 (Ronda del Port VI – Psg. Zona Franca) is the most suitable access for the APM container terminal.
- Gate 30 (Ronda del Port VI – calle 3) is the most suitable access for the automobile and liquid bulk container terminals and for the BEST container terminal (also possible through gate 43).
- Gate 31 (Ronda del Port - Section VIII ) is the best way to access the Energía dock.
- Gate 33 (calle Y - calle 4) is the best way to access the Logistics Activities Zone from the port area and only for authorised vehicles. To access LAZ Barcelona and LAZ Prat from outside the port area, the respective accesses are gates 34 and 44.
Gates 2 and 25: how to get there
If you are coming from the Ronda Litoral in the direction of Besòs, take exit 21 Ciutat Vella (Parallel, La Rambla, Montjuïc, Port Vell).
If you are coming from the Ronda Litoral in the direction of Llobregat, take the exit 21 Ciutat Vella (Parallel, Ciutat Vella, Port Vell, E. Marítima Balears) or exit 20 Port Creuers/Ferris.
Which access according to destination area
- Gate 2 (Adossat dock) is the most indicated access for cruise ship passenger terminals.
- Gate 25 (Costa dock) is the most suitable access for solid bulk terminals.
Authorised only
To guarantee security in the port area, the Port Police controls access to restricted areas for authorised people and vehicles alone. Access to the LAZ is controlled by private security.
Therefore, everyone must have one of the accreditations issued by the Barcelona Port Authority: company, temporary or visitor. Almost 100% of the access lanes have security systems, with card and QR readers that act on the barriers.
