Fisherman's Wharf
The transformation of the Fisherman's Wharf is one of the most complex actions in the city port area. It consists of rearranging an area of more than 24,000 m2 to provide it with modern and efficient facilities for fishing and, at the same time, generate a new accessible public space as a leisure and promenade area.

New buildings
The conversion of the fishing area of Barcelona began with the construction of a new ice factory, which came into operation at the end of 2016. In addition, it is planned to build a new fish market and develop the dock in the form of a promenade to access the historic Torre del Rellotge.
Local fishing
A raised walkway will be built from the tower that will lead to a restaurant from where visitors can observe the activity of the fish market and other fishing activities.

Project opportunities
The reconversion of the Fisherman's wharf opens the door to three types of opportunities:
- Develop new activities with the Barcelona Fishermen's Guild to revitalise the area and publicise the fish from the Barceloneta.
- Promote local seafaring culture and proximity to an activity as closely linked to the sea as fishing.
- Value one of the most genuine and historical elements of Port Vell , the Torre del Rellotge, which helps to preserve the memory of the port.
