The people of Barcelona are becoming increasingly attached to Port Vell and visitors to the city tend to include it in their agenda of activities. We want to reinforce this reality. How? Consolidating what works and promoting and publicising the whole range of local leisure and sporting activities available. Supporting and promoting events rooted in the spaces and calendar, such as Nadal al Port, the arrival of the Three Wise Men, the Mercè Festival, swimming races and land races.

We are seeking to attract new participatory activities and permanent or temporary events that favour port-city integration. Among the permanent offer, L'Aquàrium has been a reference point for educational and informative leisure activities on marine life for years.

We want Port Vell to be a reference point also in the gastronomic and commercial sphere. Therefore, the Action Plan 2025 envisages the adaptation of shops and premises to the needs of citizens and promotion of local fish products.  

Both Maremagnum, the Palau de Mar area and the promenades Joan de Borbó and Mare Nostrum offer a variety of different restaurants worth getting to know.

You can get to know Port Vell and the Port of Barcelona by land, sea and air.

Different companies offer tours of the port with different types of vessels. There is also the possibility to explore various areas of the city and its surroundings by helicopter from the port facilities.

We want to make the city's maritime history and culture better known. For this reason, one of the actions planned is to promote a cultural plan that includes the history of the port and its dissemination to the public. Several projects will provide a better understanding of the history, evolution and significance of the port itself.:

• Port Center, a future port activity interpretation centre to be located in the Portal de la Pau building. 
• Thematic Project of the Nova Bocana, which will bring these areas of the port closer to its past.
