• Implementation of wireless communication on roads and the water surface
• Arrangement of accesses and mobility.

• Development of the management and operation of railway activity.
• Creation of a public-private entity to promote intermodal solutions.
• Promotion of autonomous freight transport and improvement of the competitiveness of port / technical-nautical services.

The Port has launched differentiating value proposals by market segments and according to the main production areas to attract logistics activity and consolidate itself as a distribution platform. The operational objectives to achieve this are:

• Definition of competitive and differentiated logistics offers.
• Promotion of Barcelona internationally as a multi-country platform for emerging sectors.
• Activation of logistics land.
• Guide logistics land bordering the port towards maritime traffic.

The development of infrastructures is essential to be able to operate and guarantee the best conditions of safety, efficiency and sustainability. These are the marked actions:

• New Morrot – City port.
• Expansion and modernisation of the Adossat wharf and improvement of accesses.
• Remodelling of the Energia quay.
• Extension of the Prat Nord quay.
• Project for the El Prat wharf – dock 38 and automation of container operations.
• Modernisation of the Contradique dock facilities.
• Dredging of the waters of the new port infrastructures.
