The captions explain that the Cultural Heritage department ensures the good conservation of the assets, both those in the building and warehouses and those outdoors; in this case, two large iron anchors from the first half of the 19th century that decorate a roundabout (glorieta) at the Sant Bertran wharf. As weather accelerates their degradation, they must be restored: a specialist in a white coat and FFP2 mask, assisted by workers in yellow hi-vis vests, removes the rust, repairs the most damaged spots on the surface and, finally, brushes on a protective treatment (a dark liquid dispensed from a jar) to halt the oxidation process. The closing message recalls that caring for the Port's heritage preserves its history and lets it leave a legacy for the future.
