How does it work
The Telematic Forum establishes the guidelines and general objectives of the improvement projects, monitors them and compares the results of the new procedures.
Work methodology
This working group of the Governing Council for the Promotion of the Port Community of Barcelona meets approximately every 6 weeks. In specific projects, it invites other groups directly involved to participate. For example, in 2009 Renfe participated in the design of the procedure for the entry and exit of goods by rail.
These are the work phases:
- The group studies, proposes, analyses, reviews and finally validates the proposals.
- The proposals are passed for approval to the plenary session of the Governing Council for the Promotion of the Port Community of Barcelona.
- The implementation is carried out by the different agents involved in each procedure.
- The monitoring is channelled through the Telematic Forum.
Role in the sector
The Telematic Forum acts as a consultative body before the proposals for improvement of the work groups coordinated by the Port Authority.
Also in the state and international spheres it is a recognised opinion group regarding the dynamics, impact and regulation of new technologies in the logistics-port sector.
