Filming and photography at the Port of Barcelona
Media professionals wishing to record videos, broadcast images or take photographs at the Port of Barcelona must obtain prior authorisation. On this page, you will find out which permit you need depending on the area where you wish to work and how to apply for it.

Preliminary Information
If the filming or photography session is part of an audiovisual production, an advertising campaign, a documentary, a film production or any other similar project, this procedure does not apply.

Before you start
The Port of Barcelona combines publicly accessible areas with restricted port facilities where logistics, industrial and commercial activities take place. For security reasons and to protect port operations, professional image capture is regulated and requires prior authorisation.
If you need images, we suggest that you first take a look at the virtual image library made available by the Communications Department, which contains a wide range of images of the Port of Barcelona, including different areas and the main types of cargo handled within the port area.

Map of Port areas
The following map shows the boundaries between areas of the port that are freely accessible (public areas) and those located within the restricted-access perimeter. Areas not marked on the map are either breakwaters and piers to which access is not permitted, or areas located outside the port perimeter and therefore not under the responsibility of the Port of Barcelona's Communications Department, such as the Zona Franca, the ZAL (Logistics Activities Zone), the Morrot railway terminal and the Port Olímpic.
What type of authorisation do I need?
Case 1. I want to record images in a public area
Exemples:
- Moll de la Fusta
- Moll Barcelona
- Platja de Sant Sebastià
- Passeig del Dic de l'Est
- Altres espais del Port Vell
Què necessito?
✅ Autorització del Departament de Comunicació.
L'accés a aquests espais és lliure perquè són zones obertes a la ciutadania. No obstant això, els professionals dels mitjans de comunicació han de disposar d'una autorització per enregistrar-hi imatges o realitzar reportatges.
Cas 2. Vull enregistrar imatges en espais públics de la zona restringida del Port
Exemples:
- Moll Adossat
- Vials del recinte portuari, com la Ronda del Port
- Altres zones del recinte portuari
Què necessito?
✅ Autorització del Departament de Comunicació.
En aquest cas, l'autorització té una doble funció:
- Autoritza l'accés a la zona restringida, que està controlat per la Policia Portuària.
- Autoritza la realització del reportatge o enregistrament.
Sense aquesta autorització no es pot accedir a la zona restringida del recinte portuari.
Cas 3. Vull enregistrar imatges dins d'una terminal o concessió
Les terminals i concessions són instal·lacions gestionades per empreses privades. Per aquest motiu, el Port de Barcelona no pot autoritzar per si sol l'accés a aquests espais.
Per poder-hi entrar cal disposar de:
✅ Autorització de la terminal o concessionari. Consulteu les dades de contacte de les terminals del Port de Barcelona.
✅ Autorització del Departament de Comunicació.
En aquests casos, s’ha de tramitar els permisos en aquest ordre, doncs el Departament de Comunicació no pot autoritzar l’accés al recinte portuari per arribar a una terminal si la terminal no ha autoritzat prèviament la visita. Aquesta autorització s’haurà d’incloure en la sol·licitud al Departament de Comunicació.
Com sol·licitar una autorització
Informació que cal aportar:
- Nom i cognoms
- DNI o document identificatiu equivalent
- Mitjà de comunicació
- Mail i telèfon de contacte
- Data i horari previstos
- Lloc on vols enregistrar
- Objectiu o motiu de la gravació
En cas de voler accedir amb vehicle privat, s’han de facilitar les dades del vehicle (marca, model i matrícula)
Si escau, adjuntar el correu o document amb l’autorització de la terminal o concessionari.
Sempre que sigui possible, es recomana tramitar la sol·licitud amb una antelació mínima de 48 hores laborables.
