Water quality and sanitation

Since the year 2000 the Port of Barcelona has constantly improved the quality of its waters thanks to different actions. These included the constant analysis of their condition, carried out by the CSIC; monitoring of animal communities; a new sanitation network; the Llobregat treatment plant or the collection of floating waste.
