The project

Project that unites ports from 9 European countries that want to make the transition to alternative fuels, including actions to prepare the infrastructure for electrical connections from the dock to the ship.

Project objectives

• Carry out all the necessary studies and engineering works that allow the construction of port infrastructures known as OPS (Onshore Power Supply) or Cold Ironing, so that at the end of the project they can be carried out before the end of 2025.
• Achieving technical and legal harmonisation at a European level that allows the standardisation of electricity supply processes to ships.
• Reduce the energy costs of ships operating in the Port of Barcelona, improving their competitiveness.
