Planning of port spaces
Each port authority must define the areas of land and water necessary for the development of port uses, as established by the Port Law. The proposals for planning and regulating the service area of the port are detailed in an essential reference document for all those involved in the physical modification of the surrounding territory. The ultimate goal is to normalise the port landscape in the long term.

The DEUP document, prepared by the Department of Planning and Exploitation, has two objectives: the delimitation of the port service area with the corresponding impact on the port public domain of the assets that comprise it and port management from the point of view of the operation of the port.
