The project

Project focused on facilitating local pioneers to create and operate advanced community energy systems (CES) by supporting the technical, financial and social processes in each phase of the CES life cycle.

Supporting the energy community

Smart energy community models remain experimental, reaching around 0.01% of the current energy market through pilots with less than 100 members and generally covering only 1 energy vector at a time. This project aims to help these communities throughout the process.

Objectives

The objectives of the project are:

< li>Provide professional services for the entire CES development cycle at 10 sites, safely integrating all existing power vectors and enabling high consumer engagement.
  • Improve CES business readiness by designing a viable business model accepted and recognised by all stakeholder groups (investors, citizens, DSOs, community forerunners).
  • Bring together and optimise local generation and utility demand CREATORS energy communities to avoid congestion problems at the distribution level.
  • Facilitate the creation, implementation and operation of CREATORS energy communities using a set of innovative tools (assets, software, governance and business models).
  • Support the creation of CREATORS LEC. A set of about 10 replicates in different European countries and engage with local DSOs and TSOs.
