Picasso and the Port. 1895-1904
Barcelona's Port Vell, the Picasso Museum, Barcelona City Council and BWA Yachting proudly present Picasso and the Port. 1895 - 1904, an urban exhibition funded by BWA Yachting, which can be visited from 30 September 2024 to 28 February 2025.
The exhibition illustrates the artist's connection with Barcelona's waterfront. It consists of a port itinerary marked with large panels that, use period photographs and reproductions of Picasso's works from 1895-1904 to establish a dialogue between the present-day infrastructures and the painter's experiences.
This exhibition forms part of the Cultural Regatta, a programme of activities organised by Barcelona City Council to coincide with the holding of the America's Cup in Barcelona and to strengthen the city's relationship with this sporting event.

World Trade Center Barcelona. The evolving port landscape
From 26 September to 31 December 2024, you can enjoy this exhibition commemorating the 25th anniversary of the inauguration of the Barcelona World Trade Center, which will be on display in the We Take Care Room of this prestigious complex (East building) Moll de Barcelona, s/n, 08039 Barcelona).
This small but fascinating exhibition invites visitors to travel back in time through striking images and brief explanations that showcase the spectacular transformation of the site on which the Barcelona World Trade Center now stands. At the beginning of the journey, the first stop shows nothing but water. In contrast, the final stop showcases the recent refurbishment of the complex after land has been reclaimed from the sea.
The exhibition World Trade Center Barcelona. L'evolució d'un paisatge portuari is designed to be versatile; it can be appreciated from both inside the We Take Care Room and from the outside. This accessibility allows the public to visit and enjoy the exhibition at their convenience.

Exhibition on the centenary of the Trasmediterránea Company
Trasmediterránea Company
From 27 January to 1 May 2017
Maritime Museum of Barcelona
The Trasmediterránea Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary with an exhibition at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, designed to take visitors on a journey through its rich history. The exhibition will be open until May, and Barcelona was chosen as the venue because it is the company's founding port, serving as a “tribute to this significant location”.
The centenary exhibition is organised into four sections, each representing a different historical period in the company's evolution, distinguished by the chimneys of the ships typical of that era. It features models of the various vessels used over the past century.
The exhibition uses material from the Maritime Museum, the Port of Barcelona, the company and even some private individuals. A book with six hundred photographs has been specially published, as the company's shipping history coincides with that of the State.
The Port of Barcelona collaborated by lending the exhibition its Ciudad de Barcelona model.
