New railway access. Access and departure/arrival tracks in Nou Llobregat

Regarding the new railway access to the Expansion Area of the Port of Barcelona, the agreement reached among all the Administrations involved —the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, State Ports, ADIF, the Government of Catalonia, and the Port of Barcelona— was formalised in the “Collaboration Protocol for the promotion and achievement of the new railway access to the Port of Barcelona” dated September 2013.

The works to be carried out by the APB include the track superstructure inside the Port, and the construction of the access tracks and the departure/arrival yards in the Nou Llobregat area is assumed, together with the corresponding electrification —including the traction substation— as well as the proportional share of the global signalling project.

For the purposes of this financial aid, the following four actions are considered:

Execution period: 30/10/2023 to 30/06/2026

Work: OB-GP-P-0749/2014 Supply of track devices for the new railway access. Access and departure/arrival tracks in Nou Llobregat. Phase 1.
Amount: €2,149,000.00 
Execution period: September 2025 to June 2026

Work: OB-GP-P-0789/2016 New railway access. Access and departure/arrival tracks in Nou Llobregat. Civil works. Phase 1.
Amount: €24,947,507.84
Execution period: January 2026 to December 2026
