The project

The present action aims to improve and update the infrastructures located at the Pescadors' wharf with the idea of self-supplying the wharf with renewable energy through the installation of photovoltaic panels. The ultimate goal is to offset the energy consumption of the Port of Barcelona, creating a microgrid that can be operated from the port itself and that consumes 100% renewable energy that is intended to be installed 1.

The installation of the solar panels is expected to be placed on a new metal structure that will replace the current one used as a support for canvases to generate shade. The supports of the new structure will maintain the same location as the current supports 2.

It also includes self-supply with renewable electrical energy for the Pescadors' wharf, providing it with a photovoltaic power generation system 3.

The action will be carried out in the fishermen's net yard of the Port of Barcelona.
