The project
Project to build a vessel to supply Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as maritime fuel in the Port of Barcelona and surroundings.
Project objectives
- Promote the process of decarbonisation of the Iberian Peninsula.
- Contribute to the reduction of polluting emissions in maritime transport.
- Position the industry of maritime natural gas for the use of LNG as maritime fuel.
- Increase the European visibility of the Iberian LNG sector.
Characteristics of the vessel
The vessel will have a capacity of 5,000 m3 to store LNG through type C tanks that will allow evaporation between 0.15 and 0.25% per day.
