  • Efficiency Network, quality and efficiency. More than 90 companies from the Port Community are certified by the Port of Barcelona to belong to this network, which sets standards that require companies to provide their services (customs clearance, removal of goods from the port area, etc.) within the maximum agreed time frame and in accordance with high quality standards.

Connectivity

The Port of Barcelona has the widest service network in southern Europe and the Mediterranean. Its maritime transport services serve the main routes and connect with more than 200 ports worldwide. Land services include daily and/or weekly rail services with the main destinations in Spain (Madrid, Zaragoza, Valladolid, Tarragona, etc.) and Europe (Portugal, France, Italy, Germany and Belgium).

In addition, it has its own land terminals in Spain (Zaragoza and Madrid) and France (Perpignan and Toulouse) that allow a more reliable, flexible service adapted to the needs of the operators logistics and their clients. The Ro-pax services also allow the Port's clients to distribute their goods throughout the Western Mediterranean (especially Italy and North Africa).

All of this makes the Port de Barcelona can be used to reach any large client and industrial centre in Western Europe and North Africa by boat or train (as well as by road) in less than 24 hours.
