What is TMZ
The Zaragoza goods terminal is an inland port developed for international maritime transport. The land transport hub has its own rail facilities. tmZ is intended to facilitate import and export activities in the central Ebro valley region. Freight forwarders can offer road or rail transport from tmZ with the same service guarantees as found in the Port of Barcelona. |
Facilities:
Rail - 2,000 metres of track, 1,200 metres of which are double; the terminal can accommodate trains measuring 600 m (can be increased to 750 m) and has its own locomotives. |
Location:
tmZ is located in the Mercazaragoza Logistics Activities Area. In addition to the rail links, it has direct access to the Bilbao-Zaragoza motorway (Basque Country to Aragon; AP-68), the Madrid-Zaragoza motorway (A-2) and the Zaragoza-Barcelona motorway (AP-2). Because of its strategic location, the tmZ service area covers all of Aragon and reaches as far as La Rioja, Navarre and the outer reaches of other Autonomous Communities. |
