TML - Lyon goods terminal

The Port of Barcelona currently maintains a presence in Perpignan through a stake in a local joint venture company and through two inland goods terminals in Toulouse and Lyon. These platforms are intended to improve goods transport links and operations between Barcelona and France. The Port's representatives at the two goods platforms provide information to French operators about Port of Barcelona services. The operators can then optimise business responsiveness and costs.

Representation in Lyon and Rhone-Alps

In September 2009, Claire Perez began promoting Port of Barcelona services in the Rhone-Alps region, including the BarceLyon Express train service operated by Naviland Cargo (part of SNCF Geodis) in France and RENFE in Spain. The service runs twice a week and has established a link between Barcelona and France's main trade and transport region.

Working together with Ramon Adé, the BarceLyon Express coordinator in Barcelona, Claire Perez has made this service into a bridge between France, Spain and the shipping world.

At present, there are two services a week in each direction between Lyon-Vénissieux and the two Port of Barcelona terminals (TerCat and TCB).
